Dragonkind Practice Run:
Try the Threshing With No 4-Hour Wait
An unofficial fan-made practice run. Walk the Vale, follow the book's rules for approaching dragons, and try again the moment you burn. This is not the official game, and the dragons you get here are invented.

How this practice run works
You make five or six choices: how you enter the valley, how you meet the first dragon, whether you help a cadet in trouble, and which way you go. Each route ends at a different kind of dragon and a different way to get it wrong. Some choices end the run instantly.
The rules are the ones the books give riders: lower your eyes to a green and keep your hands where it can see them, never meet a red dragon's gaze and approach from the side, and stay still in the dark. Players are still testing how closely the official game follows them, so treat this as practice for the book's rules, not a map of the game.
Even if you do everything right, about one run in ten ends in a burn. The author has said the same is true of the official game.
Questions
Is this the official Dragonkind game?
No. Dragonkind is the free official Threshing game at dragonkind.com. This is a separate, fan-made practice run with our own story and our own invented dragons. It is not affiliated with Rebecca Yarros, Entangled Publishing or the makers of Dragonkind.
Will practising here help me bond in the real game?
It can help you remember the book's rules. It cannot tell you how the official game scores your choices, because that has not been published.
Does it save my progress?
No. Nothing you choose is sent anywhere. The only thing stored, and only if you press the timer button, is the time you got burned, in your own browser.
