Dragonkind Login Code Not Arriving: What to Check and What to Wait For
You typed your email at dragonkind.com and the code was not received, or it arrived and will not work. Both are common in launch week. Here is what is known, what to check first, and when to try again. This is an unofficial fan guide.
What the author's official FAQ says
Dragonkind signs you in with a one-time code sent to your email, with no password. The author's official FAQ says: codes are sent in batches, so if the code does not arrive right away, do not panic, and check your spam folder. A delay is expected when many people sign up at once. It is not a sign that something is wrong with your address.
If the code is not received: what to check
- Spam, Promotions and filtered folders. The author's FAQ asks you to check spam first. Search your mail for "dragonkind".
- The email address. A single typo means the code goes to someone else. Re-enter it and look at it before you send.
- Give it time. Players report waits from a few minutes to a few hours, and some say it took a day or two. Most fan guides suggest not requesting codes over and over, though that is advice, not an official rule.
- Use the newest code. If you asked more than once, players generally try the latest email. Nobody has published how long a code stays valid.
- Try a normal inbox. Some players report that disposable or temporary email addresses do not receive the code. This is a player report, not an official rule, but a regular inbox costs nothing to try.
If the code arrived but is not working
Some players report a code that is rejected. Likely causes are an older code from an earlier request, a typo when entering it, or a page that needs a refresh. These are suggestions from player discussions, not confirmed fixes. Request one fresh code, wait for it, copy it carefully, and enter it in one go.
What we do not know
The official sources have not said how long a batch takes, how many codes go out at a time, how long a code is valid, or whether certain email providers are slower. Anyone who gives you an exact number is guessing. If you have waited a long time and everything above checks out, use the contact route linked from dragonkind.com.
While you wait
You do not need the code to learn how the game works. Read the Dragonkind game guide, see what players report about getting a black dragon, or try our free practice run. The practice run is a fan-made rehearsal with invented dragons, not the official game. If you would rather find out which book dragon suits you, take the Fourth Wing dragon quiz.
